WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE?
Our sessions last for one hour (with early mornings and mid-mornings just 45 mins).  A session will include a warm up and a cool down.

We also organise regular fitness tests (optional) across our parks for you to assess your performance and track your improvements.

At Parkfit our classes are for ALL abilities and our instructors are highly skilled at ensuring the sessions cater for everyone.  If there are two instructors the group may get divided into two groups but you will always have the choice to train in the group you choose.  We always encourage you to push yourself but we never ask you to do anything you don't want to.  YOUR training, YOUR choice.
WHAT should I bring/wear/do now?
Check out our FAQ’s right here.  If you have any questions or concerns after reading this, then just give us a call or send us an email.

How do I take a FREE trail?
Just click this Try a Free Class link right here! This will take you to a form called a Health Questionnaire. We need this information before you train so just complete it, submit it and turn up. You can come to any session you like – there is no need to book but if you prefer you can call us first!
What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in. You must wear trainers but other than that it’s entirely up to you. You can get warm quickly so layers are always advisable!
What should I bring?
Just yourself! There is water available at every session.
What about my valuables/car keys?
You can hand your car keys to the instructor at the start of the session and get them back at the end. We ask that you do not bring valuables to the Park. Instructors are not responsible for anything other than keys.
I’m coming on my own, that’s scary!
We never get tired of hearing how friendly Parkfit is. Across all our venues it’s the same story. This is because we have such a great bunch of instructors with huge personalities and this brings out the best in our clients. You will receive a warm welcome and make some great friends. We have lots of social events too and you will meet some great people along the way.
Who will train me?
Our instructors are the best in the business. Unlike other bootcamps we simply don’t employ anyone without the right level of qualifications as it’s dangerous and restricts what you can achieve. An Instructor’s personality is equally important to us as we want you to enjoy the sessions as well as work hard. Although most of us are military trained, we don’t shout at you – we’re really friendly!
How long are the classes?
Some of our classes are 45 minutes and some are 1 hour. Checkout the timetables on the venues page for more information.

You should always aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of any class as we can cover a variety of areas during lessons and you may miss where we’ve gone if you’re late!
What is a typical class like?
We always start with a warm up and always end with a cool down. These are vital parts of the lesson and you should avoid arriving late or leaving early as they’re both important to prevent injury.

Every class is different and you will never have the same session twice! We use equipment in most sessions and a variety of CV (cardiovascular) workouts too.

What makes this type of training work is going from a run straight into exercise and vice versa. Your body has to work twice as hard to adapt to this and this is what also makes it such fun! That’s how we get you results so quickly!
What if I can’t run?
Running is without doubt one of the best ways to keep fit, lose weight and stay healthy. However, we also know it’s like marmite – you either love it or hate it! And most of us are not lovers! That said we can’t ignore the vast benefits of running and if you want to see results, you’re gonna have to run! It’s also one of the best ways to measure your improvement. Once you start running regularly, your body composition will change and you will lose fat and your lean muscle tissue will build up.

But don’t worry, we offer different distances for different abilities so you only have to push yourself as much as you want to. But you will….!
What if I’m injured or have a weakness in my body?
Parkfit always recommend you seek the advice of your doctor before embarking on a new fitness regime. We also ask that you let us know of any injuries/concerns so that we can provide you with alternative exercises. But you never have to do anything you don’t want to. Any information you give us is confidential but if you prefer to talk to us away from the park, just give us a call.

Parkfit also have a recommended Physio and we run regular injury prevention clinics! Our clients’ welfare is of the utmost importance to us. Discounts on sessions and drop in clinics are also available. We’ve got it all covered!
How will I know if I’m improving?
As well as our Fitness Challenge, you can also come and see us any time you like. We operate an open door policy meaning we are always here for you if you want to chat about your situation, discuss your goals or simply let us know how it’s going. We love hearing from our clients and if you want any further help, nutrition advice or just a bit of support, we’re always here for you.
How much does it cost?
We have a variety of payment options with different options to suit every budget. Check out our PRICES for more information.
What if the weather’s bad?
We train come rain or shine! You’d be amazed at the amount of people that turn up in the pouring rain! Battling the elements only makes you work harder thus getting better results and you will soon appreciate the cooling benefits of rain during a session!
Okay, so I’m going to take a free trial. What if I don’t like it?
As all our classes are different, it’s impossible to please everyone all of the time. We understand that some people love outdoor fitness but don’t like boxercise, or they love equipment based exercises but hate CV. You may take your free trial on a day when it’s not something you particularly enjoy, the weather’s particularly bad or you just don’t feel the vibe! If this happens, don’t give up. Give us a call and have a chat with us. We’d much rather hear from you about what you didn’t like than not hear from you at all.
